The Government of Madhya Pradesh established the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences by an Act No. 2 of 2016, which was published in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette (Extraordinary) on January 13, 2016. BRAUSS (Dr. B R Ambedkar Institution of Social Sciences) is the country’s first university of social sciences. The University is a one-of-a-kind example of integrating social science perspectives and methodologies with scientific and technology innovation for the socioeconomic development and educational excellence of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and other backward classes.

The University aims to accelerate socioeconomic development and educational excellence among marginalized groups for their upliftment and empowerment, as well as the convergence of new technologies and latest social science modules with Dr. B.R.
